If there were a more thorough account of second-wave punk than Corbett Redford's documentary Turn it Around: The Story of East Bay Punk, would you even be able to sit through it? People are not going to turn around and say you did too much on national defense.. Supposed to be, I imagine, a movie about women forming a sisterhood. This combo pack is a must-have item for any music documentary enthusiast or fan of East Bay punk.

Not to be confused with the good Taiwanese movie of the same name this movie is just dreadful. DVD + Blu-ray edition.


Turn It Around is a nostalgia piece for those who lived it, a film for the fans to enjoy and a tribute to the man who set it all in motion. Released by the Bay Area's own 1-2-3-4 Go! Turn It Around is not a punk rock documentary – viewers are expected to come in with at least an elementary knowledge of the genre.
